Location: Great World, Singapore
Salary: SGD $2,300–$3,500 per Month (Depending on Position, Experience, and Performance)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Working Schedule: 6 Days per Week

As a Food Court Cashier, you will be one of the first points of contact for customers. Your role is essential in ensuring customers receive a pleasant dining experience through friendly service, accurate order processing, and efficient payment handling. You will also support the daily operations of the food court by maintaining cleanliness, following food safety standards, and assisting your team whenever required.

Successful candidates will receive on-the-job training, allowing those without previous experience to learn the necessary skills and confidently perform their duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
• Attend to customer enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Accurately process customer orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, NETS, credit cards, debit cards, QR payments, and other electronic payment methods.
• Ensure all customer transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Issue receipts and verify payment details before completing transactions.
• Prepare the cashier counter before business operations begin.
• Perform opening and closing cashier procedures according to company guidelines.
• Conduct daily cash counting and reconciliation at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Report any cash discrepancies or operational issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation and food safety standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure customer orders are prepared and served efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier counter, service stations, dining areas, and surrounding workspaces.
• Refill takeaway containers, utensils, tissues, condiments, and other service items whenever necessary.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and functioning properly.
• Follow company policies, food hygiene regulations, workplace safety procedures, and operational standards at all times.
• Assist with stock arrangement and replenishment whenever required.
• Support supervisors and colleagues with additional operational duties to ensure smooth daily business operations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service throughout every shift.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming and pleasant dining environment for all customers.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in cashier, retail, customer service, restaurant, café, food court, or hospitality roles is an advantage but not compulsory.
• Applicants without experience are welcome to apply as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
• Able to communicate politely and professionally with customers from different backgrounds.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail when handling cash and electronic payments.
• Honest, responsible, reliable, and committed to maintaining accuracy in all transactions.
• Able to multitask and remain calm while working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
• Positive working attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Able to work independently as well as cooperate effectively within a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods during working hours.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when operationally required.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and workplace cleanliness is beneficial.
