Position Information

 

Job Title: Prime Mover Driver (Full-Time)

 

Work Location: Pasir Panjang, Singapore

 

Employment Type: Full-Time

 

Working Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts

 

Day Shift:

7:30 AM – 7:30 PM

 

Night Shift:

7:30 PM – 7:30 AM

 

Drivers will work according to the assigned rotating schedule to support daily operational requirements.

Job Responsibilities

 

As a Prime Mover Driver, you will be responsible for transporting containers and general cargo safely and efficiently within port terminals, depots, warehouses, and other designated operational areas. You will play an essential role in ensuring smooth logistics operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

• Operate a Prime Mover safely and responsibly according to company policies and traffic regulations.

 

• Transport containers, trailers, and general cargo between ports, container yards, depots, warehouses, and designated customer locations.

 

• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed accurately and within scheduled timelines.

 

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

 

• Check tyres, lights, brakes, mirrors, fuel levels, coupling systems, and other safety components before every shift.

 

• Immediately report any vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, or safety concerns to the relevant department.

 

• Ensure all cargo is transported securely and safely throughout the journey.

 

• Follow all workplace safety regulations, operational procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

 

• Maintain cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.

 

• Complete all required delivery records, inspection forms, and operational documents accurately.

 

• Work closely with dispatch coordinators and operations staff to ensure efficient daily scheduling.

 

• Follow instructions from supervisors and respond professionally to operational changes.

 

• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when interacting with customers, terminal staff, and colleagues.

 

• Comply with all company policies regarding workplace safety, health, and operational standards.

 

• Maintain a high level of responsibility while operating company vehicles at all times.

Candidate Requirements

 

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

 

• Valid Singapore Class 3 or Class 3A Driving Licence.

 

• Minimum PSLE English pass.

 

• Singapore Citizens only.

 

• Able to communicate and understand work instructions in English.

 

• Responsible, reliable, and punctual.

 

• Good attitude with strong commitment towards workplace safety.

 

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

 

• Physically fit and able to work in an operational environment.

 

• Positive learning attitude and willingness to undergo training.

 

• Previous Prime Mover experience is an advantage but not compulsory.

 

• Candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply as full training will be provided.

Training Programme

 

New employees who do not have Prime Mover driving experience will undergo structured training before being assigned to operational duties.
