Salary

SGD $1,800 – $2,300 per month

Salary will be offered based on the position, relevant working experience, qualifications, and overall suitability for the role.

7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Total working hours: 44 hours per week

Position 1 – Kitchen Helper

Job Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Helper, you will play an important role in supporting the daily meal preparation for children in the pre-school. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that meals are prepared safely, hygienically, and according to nutritional standards.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the approved school menu. • Assist with food preparation before cooking. • Follow ECDA food safety and nutrition guidelines. • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and preparation procedures. • Portion and distribute meals safely to classrooms. • Wash kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, trays, and serving containers. • Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations and food preparation areas. • Monitor food quality and freshness. • Purchase fresh ingredients when required. • Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene regulations. • Assist with stock checking and inventory when necessary. • Support other kitchen duties assigned by supervisors.

Position 2 – Cleaner / Hygiene Helper

Job Responsibilities

As a Cleaner / Hygiene Helper, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for children, teachers, and visitors.

Your responsibilities include:

• Clean classrooms, offices, toilets, corridors, and common areas. • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces regularly. • Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste properly. • Replenish toiletries, tissues, soap, and cleaning supplies. • Maintain cleanliness of furniture, toys, and shared equipment. • Ensure washrooms remain clean and hygienic throughout the day. • Follow the school’s cleaning schedule and hygiene procedures. • Comply with workplace health and safety regulations. • Assist with additional housekeeping duties whenever required. • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Job Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualities:

• Physically fit and able to perform manual duties. • Comfortable standing for extended periods. • Able to bend, kneel, squat, lift, and reach when necessary. • Responsible, reliable, and hardworking. • Good personal hygiene and cleanliness. • Positive attitude and willingness to learn. • Able to work independently as well as in a team. • Able to follow instructions carefully. • Punctual and committed to maintaining high work standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a preschool, childcare centre, school, hospital, nursing home, or similar environment is an advantage. • Candidates with a WSQ Food Hygiene Certificate will have an added advantage for the Kitchen Helper position. • Applicants without relevant experience are encouraged to apply if they are willing to learn.
