About the Role
We are currently looking for motivated, responsible, and hardworking individuals to join our healthcare support team as a Nursing Cleaner. This role plays an essential part in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
As a Nursing Cleaner, you will work closely with nurses, housekeeping supervisors, and other hospital staff to ensure patient rooms, wards, and common areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment that supports quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, wards, treatment rooms, nursing stations, corridors, waiting areas, offices, restrooms, and other assigned hospital facilities.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish, and disinfect designated areas according to hospital cleaning standards and procedures.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, bedside tables, switches, chairs, counters, lifts, and medical support equipment.
- Ensure patient rooms are clean, tidy, organized, and ready for admissions, transfers, or discharges.
- Replenish consumables including tissue paper, hand soap, paper towels, hand sanitizers, gloves, waste liners, and other housekeeping supplies.
- Collect, segregate, and dispose of general waste according to hospital policies and environmental safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas, staff workstations, and shared facilities throughout each shift.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, equipment malfunctions, plumbing leaks, or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
- Handle cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment safely while following workplace safety procedures.
- Comply with infection prevention and control protocols to reduce the risk of contamination.
- Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain proper hand hygiene throughout the workday.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests from nursing staff or supervisors.
- Support housekeeping operations by completing additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.
- Work cooperatively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and other departments to maintain a clean and safe healthcare environment.
Requirements
Successful candidates should possess the following qualities:
- Prior experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, hospital, or healthcare environments will be an added advantage.
- Candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning duties throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Responsible, reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.
- Willing to work overtime when required by operational needs.
- Able to follow work instructions carefully and comply with hospital safety and hygiene procedures.
- Flexible to perform additional duties whenever assigned by supervisors.
