Job Responsibilities

As a Retail Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a positive shopping experience for every customer. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Welcome customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Understand customers’ skincare, makeup, fragrance, and beauty needs through consultation.
• Recommend suitable beauty products based on customers’ preferences, skin concerns, and lifestyle.
• Demonstrate product usage and explain product features, ingredients, and benefits.
• Provide personalized beauty consultations to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Build long-term customer relationships through excellent service and follow-up.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge across skincare, cosmetics, makeup, fragrances, and beauty accessories.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets through effective customer engagement.
• Promote new product launches, seasonal promotions, and exclusive campaigns.
• Upsell and cross-sell products whenever appropriate.
• Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally and resolve concerns promptly.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed according to company visual merchandising standards.
• Replenish stock and maintain product availability throughout the day.
• Perform stock receiving, stock transfers, inventory checks, and stock organization.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the sales floor at all times.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
• Support store operations and work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:

• Passionate about beauty, skincare, makeup, and cosmetics.
• Friendly, confident, and customer-focused personality.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Previous experience as a Beauty Advisor, Retail Assistant, Sales Associate, or Cosmetics Consultant is preferred but not mandatory.
• Fresh candidates with a strong interest in the beauty industry are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to learn new products and continuously improve product knowledge.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Responsible, reliable, and punctual.
• Sales-driven mindset with strong customer service skills.
• Comfortable working retail hours, including weekends and public holidays when scheduled.
