Salary and Working Hours

Catering Assistant

Hourly Rate:
$13.00 per hour

Working Hours:
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Candidates assigned to this role will support daily food production, preparation, packing, and catering operations while ensuring food safety and operational standards are maintained at all times.

Pantry Assistant

Hourly Rate:
$12.50 per hour

Working Hours:
9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Candidates assigned to this role will be responsible for maintaining pantry operations, preparing beverages, replenishing supplies, and ensuring the pantry remains clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the working day.


Catering Assistant – Job Description

The Catering Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily catering services. Successful candidates will work closely with kitchen staff and supervisors to prepare food, maintain cleanliness, and support catering events.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with daily food preparation according to established recipes and operational procedures.
  • Packing meals accurately for individual orders, corporate clients, and catering events.
  • Portioning food according to company serving standards.
  • Preparing ingredients before cooking begins.
  • Washing, peeling, cutting, and organizing ingredients when required.
  • Ensuring all food items are properly labelled and stored.
  • Assisting with buffet preparation and setup.
  • Arranging buffet tables professionally before service.
  • Monitoring buffet stations during service.
  • Replenishing food promptly to ensure continuous availability.
  • Clearing buffet stations after service.
  • Loading and unloading catering equipment and food containers.
  • Transporting food and equipment within operational areas.
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment, preparation tables, storage areas, and workstations.
  • Washing kitchen utensils, trays, containers, and serving equipment.
  • Disposing of waste according to hygiene procedures.
  • Organizing inventory and assisting with stock replenishment.
  • Reporting equipment issues or shortages to supervisors.
  • Following all food safety regulations and workplace safety procedures.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene and proper food handling practices at all times.
  • Supporting supervisors and colleagues with operational duties whenever required.
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by management based on operational needs.

Pantry Assistant – Job Description

The Pantry Assistant is responsible for ensuring that pantry facilities remain clean, organized, and fully stocked while providing refreshments in a professional and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards.
  • Preparing and serving light refreshments.
  • Arranging refreshments for meetings and corporate functions.
  • Ensuring beverages are served promptly and professionally.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of pantry counters and preparation areas.
  • Washing cups, mugs, glasses, plates, cutlery, and pantry equipment.
  • Sanitizing pantry equipment regularly.
  • Cleaning refrigerators, microwaves, coffee machines, and pantry appliances.
  • Replenishing pantry supplies including beverages, snacks, sugar, milk, tissues, disposable items, and cleaning materials.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Organizing pantry storage to improve efficiency.
  • Ensuring all pantry items are properly stored.
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene standards throughout the pantry.
  • Assisting with pantry inventory checks.
  • Supporting meeting room preparation when refreshments are required.
  • Reporting maintenance issues immediately.
  • Following company hygiene policies and workplace safety regulations.
  • Performing any additional pantry-related duties assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Requirements
