SINGAPORE JOB VACANCY – FULL-TIME CLEANING SUPERVISOR

Position: Cleaning Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Orchard, Singapore
Working Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Permanent Night Shift)
Work Schedule: 6 Days per Week
Monthly Salary: SGD 2,800 – 2,900

A well-established company in Singapore is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily cleaning operations. This position is suitable for individuals with strong leadership skills, a good understanding of cleaning procedures, and the ability to manage a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising cleaning personnel, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed efficiently, monitoring work quality, and maintaining compliance with company policies and Singapore workplace safety regulations. This role also requires hands-on involvement in operational activities whenever necessary to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the daily activities of cleaning staff.
• Plan and assign work schedules based on operational requirements.
• Ensure all cleaning duties are completed according to company standards and within scheduled timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure cleanliness and service quality meet expectations.
• Oversee housekeeping operations in common areas, public spaces, offices, and other designated locations.
• Supervise chambermaids and housekeeping staff to ensure rooms and assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and consistently.
• Train new employees on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, workplace safety, and company procedures.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to cleaning staff to improve productivity and service quality.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and overall work performance.
• Assist management in resolving operational issues and handling staff-related matters.
• Prepare daily operational reports and communicate work progress to management.
• Ensure sufficient manpower is available to meet daily operational requirements.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure cleaning services are carried out efficiently.
• Respond promptly to customer requests, complaints, and emergency cleaning situations.
• Ensure all cleaning activities are performed in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.

Cleaning Equipment & Machinery

The Cleaning Supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring the proper use, maintenance, and safe operation of cleaning equipment and machinery, including but not limited to:

• Vacuum cleaners
• Floor scrubbers
• Floor polishers
• High-pressure cleaning equipment
• Compactors
• Bin press machines
• Waste management equipment
• Other cleaning tools and machinery used during daily operations

Routine inspections should be carried out to ensure all equipment remains in good working condition. Any faults or maintenance issues should be reported immediately to minimize operational downtime.

Chemical Handling & Safety

The successful candidate must ensure all cleaning chemicals and materials are handled responsibly and in accordance with company safety procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Proper storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Safe dilution and usage of cleaning products.
• Compliance with chemical handling procedures.
• Ensuring staff wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Preventing workplace accidents through safe work practices.
• Reporting safety hazards and incidents immediately.
• Promoting a strong workplace safety culture among all team members.

Compliance Responsibilities

The Cleaning Supervisor is expected to ensure full compliance with:

• Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Regulations
• Ministry of Manpower (MOM) Regulations
• Company Quality Standards
• Internal operational policies and procedures

The supervisor must continuously monitor work practices to ensure all employees follow safety requirements and operational guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• Relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Certification is required.
• Previous experience in cleaning supervision, housekeeping supervision, or facility management is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
• Responsible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high work standards.
• Physically fit and capable of working in an operational cleaning environment.
• Familiar with cleaning equipment, machinery, and chemical handling procedures.
• Able to work permanent night shifts.
• Willing to work 6 days per week.
