Location: Mandai Bus Depot, 310 Mandai Road, Singapore 779404 (Woodlands, North Region)
Salary: SGD $1,900 per Month
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Days: 6 Days Work Week, 1 Rotational Off Day
Working Hours: 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Transport: Company Return Transport Provided (Employees will be dropped home after work)

Bus Cleaner

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bus Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of buses to ensure they are ready for daily operations. Duties include both interior and exterior cleaning according to company standards.

Interior Cleaning Duties

  • Sweep the entire bus floor thoroughly before mopping.
  • Mop bus floors using approved cleaning solutions.
  • Remove dust, dirt, sand, leaves, and debris from all flooring areas.
  • Vacuum floors whenever necessary.
  • Clean all passenger seating areas.
  • Wipe plastic seats carefully.
  • Clean fabric seats according to company procedures.
  • Remove stains from seats whenever possible.
  • Clean seat backs thoroughly.
  • Wipe seat handles.
  • Clean armrests.
  • Remove dust from corners and difficult-to-reach areas.
  • Clean wall panels inside the bus.
  • Wipe ceiling panels where required.
  • Remove cobwebs and accumulated dust.
  • Clean interior partitions.
  • Wipe emergency equipment covers.
  • Clean luggage or storage areas if applicable.
  • Ensure all passenger areas remain neat and presentable.

Driver Cabin Cleaning

  • Clean driver’s dashboard.
  • Wipe steering wheel area.
  • Clean dashboard controls carefully.
  • Wipe instrument panel surfaces.
  • Remove dust from air vents.
  • Clean driver’s seat exterior.
  • Clean side panels around the driver’s cabin.
  • Wipe door panels.
  • Clean cabin flooring.
  • Ensure driver’s working area remains clean and organized.

Glass Cleaning

  • Clean interior windows.
  • Wash exterior windows.
  • Clean front windshield.
  • Clean rear windshield.
  • Clean side windows.
  • Remove fingerprints.
  • Remove watermarks.
  • Clean mirrors thoroughly.
  • Polish mirrors until streak-free.
  • Ensure clear visibility through all glass surfaces.

Sanitizing Duties

  • Disinfect passenger handrails.
  • Sanitize grab poles.
  • Clean door handles.
  • Sanitize frequently touched surfaces.
  • Wipe passenger buttons where applicable.
  • Clean safety rails.
  • Help maintain a hygienic environment for passengers and drivers.
  • Follow company sanitation procedures at all times.

Exterior Cleaning

  • Wash complete bus body using approved cleaning products.
  • Remove mud from exterior surfaces.
  • Remove road dust.
  • Remove dirt accumulation.
  • Clean front bumper.
  • Clean rear bumper.
  • Wash both sides of the bus.
  • Wash wheel arches.
  • Clean tyres when required.
  • Clean rims.
  • Remove grease marks where possible.
  • Ensure bus exterior looks clean and professional.

Headlights and Number Plates

  • Polish headlights.
  • Wipe taillights.
  • Clean signal lights.
  • Wipe number plates.
  • Ensure all lighting covers remain clean.
  • Remove dirt from reflective surfaces.

Waste Disposal

  • Empty rubbish bins.
  • Collect all waste inside buses.
  • Dispose of rubbish properly.
  • Replace rubbish bags.
  • Keep cleaning areas tidy.
  • Follow proper waste disposal procedures.

Inspection Duties

During every cleaning assignment, employees are expected to carry out a basic visual inspection.

This includes checking for:

  • Broken passenger seats.
  • Loose seat components.
  • Damaged windows.
  • Cracked mirrors.
  • Faulty lights.
  • Missing safety equipment.
  • Damaged flooring.
  • Water leaks.
  • Graffiti or vandalism.
  • Broken handrails.
  • Any unusual damage found inside or outside the bus.

Employees must immediately report any abnormal findings to their supervisor for further action.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Clean mops after use.
  • Wash buckets.
  • Store cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Arrange equipment neatly.
  • Maintain cleaning tools.
  • Report damaged cleaning equipment.
  • Refill cleaning supplies when necessary.
  • Follow workplace safety guidelines.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Keep the cleaning store neat and organized.
