JOB OPPORTUNITY

A part-time Cashier opportunity is available at 7-Eleven outlets in Singapore.

We are looking for responsible, reliable and customer-oriented individuals to support the daily operations of the store.

This position is suitable for Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents who are looking for a part-time retail position with a regular Monday-to-Friday working schedule.

Candidates with previous experience in cashier, retail, convenience store, supermarket or customer service positions are preferred.

Applicants who are willing to learn and can follow store procedures may also be considered.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Cashier, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the convenience store.

You will assist customers at the cashier counter, process daily transactions, replenish products, receive deliveries, monitor product expiry dates and help maintain a clean and organized store environment.

The role involves both cashier duties and general store support.

Employees are expected to provide friendly and efficient customer service while ensuring that the store remains clean, organized and properly stocked.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. CASHIER AND SALES TRANSACTIONS

• Handle daily customer sales transactions.

• Process payments accurately and efficiently.

• Operate the cashier counter according to store procedures.

• Assist customers with their purchases.

• Provide basic assistance when customers have enquiries.

• Ensure transactions are handled carefully and professionally.

• Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when serving customers.

• Follow the required procedures for cashier operations.

• Assist with maintaining an organized cashier area.

2. PRODUCT DISPLAY AND REPLENISHMENT

• Display products neatly on the shelves.

• Replenish products when stocks are running low.

• Ensure products are properly arranged and easy for customers to find.

• Check shelves regularly and identify items that require replenishment.

• Maintain a neat and presentable product display.

• Assist with promotional product displays.

• Ensure products are placed according to store requirements.

• Help maintain an organized retail environment throughout the shift.

3. RECEIVING PRODUCT DELIVERIES

• Receive incoming product deliveries.

• Assist with checking delivered products.

• Ensure received items are handled appropriately.

• Assist with arranging products in the designated areas.

• Support the team with stock movement when required.

• Help ensure products are available for replenishment and display.

4. PRODUCT EXPIRY CHECKING

• Regularly check products displayed in the store.

• Identify products approaching or exceeding their expiry dates.

• Follow store procedures when handling expired products.

• Ensure expired items are not left on customer-facing shelves.

• Assist with maintaining proper product rotation.

• Keep product areas organized and properly maintained.

5. PROMOTIONAL DISPLAY

• Assist with changing promotional displays.

• Replace promotional materials when required.

• Ensure promotional products are displayed correctly.

• Keep promotional areas neat and attractive.

• Follow instructions regarding promotional campaigns and product placement.

• Assist the team in preparing the store for new promotions.

6. STORE CLEANLINESS AND HYGIENE

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store.

• Keep the cashier counter clean and organized.

• Ensure shelves and customer areas remain presentable.

• Assist with general cleaning duties when required.

• Maintain good hygiene standards throughout the working area.

• Help ensure the store provides a clean and comfortable environment for customers.

7. GENERAL STORE SUPPORT

• Assist colleagues with daily store operations.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and store management.

• Support other reasonable store duties when required.

• Work together with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Report operational or product-related issues to the appropriate supervisor.

• Follow company policies, procedures and workplace requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident only.

• Must be 21 years old and above.

• The minimum age requirement applies due to the sale of tobacco products at the premises.

• Previous experience in cashier, retail, convenience store, supermarket or customer service is preferred.

• Able to commit to 5 working days per week.

• Able to work from Monday to Friday.

• Responsible and dependable.

• Good attitude towards work.

• Willing to learn new tasks and procedures.

• Able to communicate appropriately with customers and colleagues.

• Comfortable working in a retail and customer-facing environment.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

This is a part-time position with a 5-day working schedule.

Working days are Monday to Friday.

Available working hours include:

7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

or

7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Applicants should be able to commit to the required working schedule and maintain good attendance.

SALARY

Salary offered:

$12.50 – $13.00 Per Hour

The total monthly earnings will depend on the number of hours worked and the applicable employment arrangement.

TRAINING PROVIDED

Training will be provided to successful candidates.

Candidates who are new to this type of work can use the training period to become familiar with the store environment and daily responsibilities.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Experience in areas such as cashier, retail, convenience stores, supermarkets, customer service or general store operations may be useful.

Candidates without extensive experience may still be considered if they meet the eligibility requirements and demonstrate a willingness to learn.

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer service is an important part of the Cashier position.
