Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately for all customer transactions.
• Process payments including cash, debit cards, credit cards, and other approved payment methods.
• Verify payment amounts before completing every transaction.
• Issue receipts and ensure accurate transaction records.
• Pack customers’ purchases carefully and professionally.
• Welcome customers warmly and provide prompt assistance.
• Answer customer enquiries regarding products, promotions, and store services.
• Recommend suitable products based on customers’ needs whenever appropriate.
• Maintain a professional and friendly attitude during every customer interaction.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Arrange merchandise neatly according to company merchandising standards.
• Replenish products on shelves to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Ensure shelves remain clean, tidy, and attractive throughout operating hours.
• Monitor stock availability and report shortages to supervisors.
• Check product expiry dates regularly and remove expired items from display.
• Ensure products are rotated according to company inventory procedures.
• Assist in receiving incoming deliveries from suppliers.
• Verify delivered quantities against delivery documents.
• Report damaged, incorrect, or missing stock immediately.
• Return rejected or damaged goods according to company procedures.
• Assist with stock movement between storage and display areas.
• Support periodic stock counting and inventory checks.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier counter, sales floor, shelves, storage room, and work areas.
• Ensure aisles remain free from obstructions to provide a safe shopping environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods whenever required.
• Follow all operational procedures, workplace safety regulations, and company policies.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Carry out any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Store Manager or Supervisor.

• Able to read and understand product labels.

• Willing to work weekends and public holidays according to the duty roster.
• Retail experience is an advantage but not required.
• Candidates with no experience are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
