About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, responsible, and highly motivated Cleaning Manager to lead and oversee daily cleaning operations across multiple project sites. This position is ideal for individuals with strong leadership skills, excellent operational planning abilities, and hands-on experience managing commercial cleaning services.

As a Cleaning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. You will supervise cleaning teams, coordinate manpower deployment, monitor work quality, maintain customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements.

This role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to solve operational issues quickly while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily cleaning operations.
  • Prepare work schedules and deploy manpower efficiently across multiple sites.
  • Monitor attendance and staff deployment.
  • Supervise end-of-tenancy cleaning projects.
  • Supervise commercial office cleaning operations.
  • Oversee hotel cleaning assignments.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning quality meets company standards.
  • Carry out routine site visits to monitor work progress.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Follow up on outstanding work until completion.
  • Handle customer enquiries professionally.
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints and feedback.
  • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.
  • Monitor staff performance and productivity.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors and cleaners.
  • Train newly hired employees on company procedures.
  • Conduct on-site orientation for new staff.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies and operational procedures.
  • Prepare manpower deployment plans based on operational requirements.
  • Coordinate emergency manpower replacement whenever necessary.
  • Maintain proper staffing levels across all projects.
  • Monitor the usage of cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure cleaning machines are properly maintained.
  • Check the condition of cleaning tools regularly.
  • Arrange repairs or replacements when required.
  • Monitor inventory of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
  • Ensure sufficient stock is available for daily operations.
  • Verify proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
  • Promote safe work practices among all employees.
  • Conduct regular workplace safety briefings.
  • Ensure staff wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Investigate workplace incidents when necessary.
  • Prepare operational reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of site inspections.
  • Submit reports to management as required.
  • Coordinate with clients, supervisors, and internal departments.
  • Attend operational meetings whenever required.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience in the cleaning industry.
  • Proven experience managing end-of-tenancy cleaning projects.
  • Experience supervising commercial office cleaning operations.
  • Experience overseeing hotel cleaning services is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent manpower planning abilities.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Positive working attitude.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good knowledge of cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Familiar with different cleaning chemicals and their safe usage.
  • Understanding of proper cleaning techniques for various floor and surface materials.
  • Functional proficiency in English is required.
  • Mandarin proficiency is an advantage as communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and frontline employees may be required.
  • Knowledge of NEA regulations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
  • WSQ Cleaning Framework certification will be an added advantage.
  • Basic computer knowledge for operational reporting is preferred.
