Monthly Salary

SGD 2,000 – SGD 2,400 per month

  • Rotating shift schedule

Position Overview

The Dishwasher plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the kitchen. Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organized working environment is critical to food safety and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, cookware, and dining ware while supporting chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

Although this position focuses primarily on dishwashing and sanitation duties, employees may also be asked to assist with general kitchen support tasks whenever necessary. Attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently during busy operating hours are important qualities for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash, rinse, sanitize, and dry dishes, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, trays, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate commercial dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all cleaned items meet hygiene and sanitation standards before being stored.
  • Organize and return clean kitchen equipment to designated storage areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, drainage systems, shelving, and surrounding work areas.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Remove food waste and dispose of garbage according to company procedures.
  • Replace garbage bags and maintain cleanliness around waste disposal areas.
  • Assist in receiving, unloading, and organizing kitchen supplies and deliveries when required.
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff by preparing clean utensils and equipment during busy service periods.
  • Monitor cleaning chemicals and supplies, reporting shortages to supervisors promptly.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with workplace safety guidelines.
  • Follow HACCP food safety standards and company sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with general cleaning duties in food preparation and kitchen service areas.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors to support daily kitchen operations.

Physical Requirements

Applicants should be physically fit and capable of performing active manual work throughout the working day. Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Standing for extended periods
  • Frequent walking throughout the kitchen
  • Carrying trays, pots, kitchen equipment, and dish racks
  • Repetitive washing, lifting, and cleaning tasks
  • Working in warm and humid kitchen environments
  • Managing large volumes of dishes during peak meal periods
