Position: Food Catering Assistant
Employment Type: Part-Time / Contract
Salary: SGD $12.50–$13.00 per hour

Working Schedule

Monday to Friday

Shift 1: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

OR

Shift 2: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Weekends and public holidays are generally not required unless otherwise assigned.

Salary

SGD $12.50–$13.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, cutting, and preparing ingredients before meal service.

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation according to operational requirements.

• Prepare serving stations before meal periods.

• Serve food professionally and courteously while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

• Ensure food is presented neatly and replenished promptly throughout service.

• Maintain cleanliness of pantry areas, preparation counters, dining areas, and workstations.

• Wash and sanitize food preparation equipment, utensils, trays, and serving equipment.

• Refill beverages, condiments, disposable items, and pantry supplies whenever necessary.

• Monitor pantry stock levels and report shortages to supervisors.

• Assist with inventory checks and stock recording.

• Organize pantry supplies and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.

• Receive deliveries and check incoming items.

• Load and unload goods from delivery lorries safely and efficiently.

• Transport supplies between storage areas and pantry when required.

• Dispose of waste correctly according to workplace procedures.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards.

• Follow Safe Management Measures and workplace safety procedures.

• Wear proper uniform and maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times.

• Support supervisors with daily operational duties.

• Take on supervisory responsibilities whenever required.

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the management team.

Requirements

• Valid Food Hygiene Certificate is required.

• Previous catering, pantry, kitchen, restaurant, or food service experience is an advantage.

• Responsible and punctual.

• Good team player with a positive working attitude.

• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

• Able to carry out light lifting and loading duties when necessary.

• Willing to follow company procedures and food safety regulations.

• Good personal hygiene and professional grooming.
