Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and general tidiness in a childcare or student-care environment.

Main duties include:

• Cleaning classrooms and learning areas
• Cleaning student-care areas
• Sweeping floors and common areas
• Mopping floors and maintaining floor cleanliness
• Wiping tables, chairs and other surfaces
• Cleaning and maintaining the dining area
• Washing and cleaning toilets
• Emptying and clearing rubbish bins
• Collecting and disposing of general waste properly
• Maintaining cleanliness in common areas
• Ensuring the childcare environment remains clean and hygienic
• Performing general cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Following workplace cleaning procedures and instructions
• Keeping cleaning equipment and work areas organised
• Assisting with other basic cleaning duties when required

The job involves regular physical cleaning work, so applicants should be comfortable with tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, handling rubbish and washing toilets.

Experience and Training

Previous cleaning experience is not required.

• Punctual and able to follow the assigned working schedule

No previous professional cleaning experience is necessary as training is available.
