GENERAL WORKER – CONSTRUCTION

1. SALARY AND ALLOWANCES

A. GENERAL WORKER WITH SINGAPORE CLASS 3 DRIVING LICENSE

During Probation:
Basic Salary: $2,800 per month

Upon Confirmation:
Basic Salary: $3,000 per month
Plus $7 daily allowance for meals and transportation.

Employees with good performance, reliability and a positive work attitude may be considered for early confirmation.

B. GENERAL WORKER WITHOUT DRIVING LICENSE

During Probation:
Basic Salary: $2,500 per month

Upon Confirmation:
Basic Salary: $2,700 per month
Plus $7 daily allowance for meals and transportation.

Salary progression may be available based on the employee’s skills, performance, reliability and ability to take on additional responsibilities.

3. WORKING HOURS

This is a full-time position with a structured 5.5-day working schedule.

Monday to Friday:
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturday:
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Working Week:
5.5 days per week

Overtime:
No overtime

Employees are expected to be punctual, reliable and able to follow the company’s working schedule and operational requirements.

4. JOB DESCRIPTION

The General Worker position is a hands-on role involving production support, warehouse operations, lifting equipment preparation, goods handling and delivery-related activities.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist with daily operations and ensure that goods, equipment and work areas are properly handled and maintained.

Lifting Equipment Preparation and Assembly

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and assembling lifting equipment
  • Handling lifting belts, chains and wire ropes
  • Assisting with the preparation of equipment for operational use
  • Supporting workshop operations
  • Ensuring equipment is properly organised and stored
  • Following workplace procedures when handling lifting equipment
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

Warehouse and Stocktaking Duties

The General Worker will also assist with warehouse-related activities, including:

  • Stocktaking and checking inventory
  • Organising goods and equipment
  • Ensuring goods are stored properly
  • Maintaining an organised warehouse environment
  • Checking that goods are handled and stored safely
  • Assisting with general warehouse operations as required

Loading and Unloading

The position involves physical work and may require the employee to handle heavy equipment and goods.

Responsibilities include:

  • Loading goods onto vehicles
  • Unloading goods at designated locations
  • Handling equipment safely and carefully
  • Assisting with the movement of goods within the workplace
  • Following safety procedures during loading and unloading activities
  • Ensuring goods are properly secured and handled

5. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR DRIVER POSITIONS

Candidates with a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License may be assigned additional driving and delivery responsibilities.

Driver duties may include:

  • Safely delivering goods to various work sites
  • Collecting goods from different locations
  • Operating company vehicles responsibly
  • Ensuring goods are properly handled during transportation
  • Checking the vehicle before use
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle cabin
  • Following company procedures and road safety requirements

Important Vehicle Policy

The company vehicle is provided for work-related duties only.

Company vehicles cannot be driven home.

Drivers are expected to use company vehicles responsibly and follow all company requirements regarding vehicle usage.

6. TRAINING AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Forklift Training

Employees may have the opportunity to attend company-sponsored forklift training.

7. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Able to read and speak English and Chinese
  • Comfortable using a smartphone for electronic documents
  • Able to use a smartphone for delivery orders and work-related documentation
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Willing to follow company procedures and safety requirements
  • Able to work independently as well as as part of a team
  • Willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities when required

Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding work environment and should be comfortable with regular lifting, loading, unloading and equipment-handling duties.

8. DRIVER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants applying for the Driver position must have:

  • A valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License
  • At least 1 year of driving experience
  • Good driving habits and a responsible attitude
  • Ability to safely transport and deliver goods to various locations
  • Ability to carry out basic vehicle checks and report defects

A valid forklift license is an additional advantage.
