NURSING AIDE

JOB SUMMARY

• Provide quality care according to established nursing policies and procedures
• Support clients in activities and programmes promoting healthy ageing
• Guide Healthcare Assistants in delivering proper nursing-related care
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support clients’ overall well-being

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow approved Nursing SOPs and care procedures
• Assist with implementing and evaluating individual nursing care plans
• Monitor changes in clients’ health, functional abilities and cognitive condition
• Encourage early medical attention when changes or symptoms are identified
• Mentor and guide Healthcare Assistants in their daily duties
• Assist Enrolled/Registered Nurses with medication administration and patient care
• Support elderly clients with common age-related conditions, including incontinence and mobility difficulties
• Assist EN/RN with nursing duties when required
• Perform other operational duties assigned by the Centre Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level
• Training in WSQ Higher Certificate/Advanced Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) OR an ITE Approved Training Centre (ATC) Healthcare (Home Care) programme
• Experience working with elderly clients is an advantage
• Compassionate and caring attitude
• Good critical-thinking and organisational skills
