JOB OVERVIEW

A food production company in Singapore is currently looking for responsible, hardworking and physically fit candidates to join the team as Production Operators at the Noodle Station.

The Production Operator will be involved in the daily manufacturing process of noodle products. The main duties include operating noodle-making machinery, adjusting machine settings, monitoring the quality and weight of noodles, handling production materials, maintaining cleanliness and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will work together with other production team members to ensure that daily production runs smoothly and that all products meet the required quality, hygiene and food safety standards.

This is a hands-on production position and candidates should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks when required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Operator will be responsible for carrying out various duties related to the noodle manufacturing process, including:

  1. Operating noodle-making machines and other production equipment according to established procedures.
  2. Adjusting machine settings based on different noodle products and production requirements.
  3. Monitoring the production process to ensure that machines are operating properly and efficiently.
  4. Checking noodle thickness, weight, appearance and consistency to ensure products meet the required specifications.
  5. Adding starch, flour and other production materials as required during the manufacturing process.
  6. Following production instructions and procedures provided by supervisors or production leaders.
  7. Monitoring production output and immediately reporting any abnormal conditions, defects or machine problems.
  8. Performing daily cleaning of production machinery and surrounding work areas.
  9. Carrying out basic machine maintenance and ensuring equipment is kept in good working condition.
  10. Performing basic troubleshooting when minor machine problems occur.
  11. Assisting supervisors with identifying production issues and reporting problems that require further technical attention.
  12. Ensuring raw materials and production ingredients are handled and stored properly.
  13. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe production environment throughout the working shift.
  14. Following all food safety, workplace safety and hygiene procedures.
  15. Working closely with other production staff to ensure smooth and consistent production.
  16. Meeting daily production requirements while maintaining product quality.
  17. Performing other reasonable production-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

WORKING HOURS

Monday to Friday

7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Working hours may be extended depending on production requirements and completion of assigned work.

Saturday

7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Additional working hours may be required depending on production needs.

Overtime will be paid at 1.5× the applicable overtime rate.

Sunday

Rest Day

Candidates should be prepared to work additional hours when required by the company, especially during periods of higher production demand.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates applying for this position should meet the following requirements:

  • Responsible, reliable and hardworking.
  • Physically fit and able to perform hands-on production work.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods during working hours.
  • Comfortable working in a food production and manufacturing environment.
  • Able to handle and carry loads of up to 25kg.
  • Willing to perform repetitive production tasks when required.
  • Able to follow production instructions carefully and accurately.
  • Able to follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Able to work independently when assigned tasks and also work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willing to work overtime when required.
  • Willing to learn new production processes and machine operations.
  • Basic machine operation knowledge is preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of flour and dough variations is an advantage.
  • Basic Chinese communication skills are preferred for understanding production and safety instructions.
  • Good personal hygiene is required.
  • Able to maintain a clean and appropriate appearance while working.
  • Must be willing to comply with food production hygiene requirements.

Previous experience in food manufacturing, factory production, noodle production, bakery production, machine operation or other related industries will be an advantage.

Candidates without direct noodle production experience may still be considered if they have a good working attitude, are willing to learn and can follow instructions properly.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position involves regular physical activity and candidates should be prepared for the following working conditions:

  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Walking around the production area.
  • Handling production materials.
  • Carrying items weighing up to 25kg.
  • Operating production machinery.
  • Performing repetitive production activities.

FOOD SAFETY AND HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS

As this position is based in a food production environment, strict hygiene and food safety standards must be followed.

Employees are required to maintain good personal hygiene and wear clean and suitable work attire during production.

The workplace does not allow the use of:

  • Perfume
  • Makeup
  • Nail polish
  • Jewellery

Employees must follow all company hygiene procedures and safety requirements before and during production.

Proper cleanliness is important to prevent contamination and ensure that all noodle products meet the company’s food safety and quality standards.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Production Operator will work in a food manufacturing environment where daily production schedules must be followed.

The position requires employees to remain focused during production and pay attention to machine operation, product quality and workplace safety.

Employees are expected to communicate with supervisors and team members whenever there are production issues, machine abnormalities or quality concerns.

The ability to work cooperatively with colleagues is important because noodle production involves multiple stages and team members need to coordinate their duties to maintain consistent production.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Monthly Salary: Up to $1,900

In addition to the monthly salary, the position provides:

AWS and variable bonus are subject to company policy, eligibility requirements, pro-ration and individual performance.

Actual monthly earnings may vary depending on applicable allowances, overtime hours and other company arrangements.
