JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and committed QA/QC Assistant to join our team in the West Region of Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily quality assurance and quality control activities within production operations. This role involves monitoring food safety and hygiene standards, conducting quality inspections, maintaining documentation, assisting with product investigations, and supporting audits and regulatory inspections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Daily Quality and Hygiene Inspection

• Conduct daily hygiene inspections within production and operational areas.

• Carry out quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.

• Ensure products and production processes comply with established food safety and quality standards.

• Monitor production activities and identify any potential quality or hygiene issues.

• Report non-conformities and quality concerns to the relevant departments.

• Follow up on identified issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.

2. Food Safety and Sanitation Control

• Monitor sanitation and hygiene practices throughout the production environment.

• Ensure food safety procedures and hygiene requirements are properly followed.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic production environment.

• Monitor sanitation records and ensure relevant documentation is properly maintained.

• Support pest control activities and maintain related records.

• Assist in ensuring that production areas comply with required food safety standards.

3. Quality Documentation and Records

• Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation and records.

• Ensure inspection results are properly recorded and updated.

• Assist with preparation and filing of quality-related documents.

• Monitor documentation related to sanitation, pest control, inspections, testing, and production quality.

• Ensure records are complete, accurate, and available when required for audits or inspections.

4. Microbiological Testing Support

• Assist with microbiological testing activities where required.

• Support sample collection and preparation according to established procedures.

• Maintain proper records related to testing activities.

• Follow established procedures and requirements for quality and food safety testing.

5. Customer Complaint Investigation

• Assist in investigating customer complaints relating to product quality and food safety.

• Conduct relevant product checks and collect information related to reported issues.

• Work closely with production and other departments to identify possible causes.

• Assist in preparing investigation records and reports.

• Support corrective and preventive actions following customer complaints.

6. Corrective and Preventive Actions

• Assist in identifying the root causes of quality and food safety issues.

• Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure issues are properly addressed.

• Work with cross-functional teams to prevent recurring quality problems.

• Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of improvement measures.

7. SFA Inspection and Regulatory Compliance

• Support Singapore Food Agency (SFA) inspections.

• Assist in preparing relevant documents and records for regulatory inspections.

• Ensure production operations follow applicable food safety and quality requirements.

• Support the team during regulatory and compliance activities.

• Assist in maintaining proper documentation required for regulatory purposes.

8. Internal and External Audits

• Support internal and external quality audits.

• Assist in preparing documents, records, and relevant information requested during audits.

• Coordinate with relevant departments when required.

• Follow up on audit findings and support corrective action implementation.

• Help maintain continuous compliance with company and regulatory standards.

9. Continuous Quality Improvement

• Support continuous improvement activities across production operations.

• Identify opportunities to improve food safety, hygiene, quality, and production processes.

• Work closely with production and other departments to improve operational standards.

• Assist in implementing new procedures and quality improvement initiatives.

• Contribute to maintaining consistent quality standards throughout production.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a full-time position based in the West Region of Singapore.

Working schedule is 5.5 days per week. Candidates should be prepared to work according to the company’s operational requirements and follow established procedures related to quality, hygiene, food safety, and production activities.
