About the Opportunity
We are seeking a committed, detail-oriented, and motivated Quality Assurance Executive to join our growing team in Singapore. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about software quality, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
As a Quality Assurance Executive, you will play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle by ensuring that every application, system enhancement, and software release performs according to approved business requirements and quality standards before deployment to production.
You will work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Software Developers, System Engineers, Product Owners, and external vendors to identify defects, validate system functionality, and ensure all deliverables meet business expectations. Your contribution will directly impact the quality of digital products used by internal stakeholders and customers.
This position is suitable for candidates with experience in software testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Quality Assurance, or IT support. Candidates who demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Conduct User Acceptance Testing based on approved business requirements and functional specifications.
Review testing requirements before execution to ensure complete understanding of project objectives.
Prepare testing scenarios according to business workflows.
Execute comprehensive UAT activities across different business functions.
Validate new system features before deployment.
Confirm that implemented changes satisfy business requirements.
Ensure all business processes perform as expected.
Verify system outputs against expected results.
Support business users during testing activities.
Provide feedback on usability and system performance.
Document all testing outcomes accurately.
Functional Testing
Execute functional testing to verify that every feature operates according to design specifications.
Test individual system modules.
Verify user interface functionality.
Validate business rules.
Confirm workflow accuracy.
Ensure all buttons, forms, menus, search functions, reports, notifications, and dashboards perform correctly.
Test data validation rules.
Verify mandatory field requirements.
Confirm calculation accuracy.
Ensure proper handling of user permissions.
Validate approval workflows.
Review report generation functionality.
Test export and import features where applicable.
Regression Testing
Perform regression testing following system enhancements, patches, and software updates.
Ensure newly implemented changes do not affect existing functions.
Execute regression test suites.
Retest previously resolved issues.
Verify production fixes.
Confirm application stability after every release.
Ensure business-critical functions continue operating correctly.
Review system performance following updates.
Support release readiness activities.
System Validation
Validate complete system behavior across multiple platforms.
Perform testing on web applications.
Validate mobile applications across supported devices.
Test backend processes.
Verify API integrations.
Validate database transactions.
Ensure successful communication between integrated systems.
Confirm data synchronization across platforms.
Verify scheduled system jobs.
Test background services.
Review application responsiveness.
Validate system configurations.
Ensure business continuity requirements are met.
Defect Management
Identify software defects during every testing phase.
Document defects using standardized reporting procedures.
Classify issues according to severity and priority.
Capture supporting evidence including screenshots, screen recordings, logs, and error messages.
Provide detailed reproduction steps.
Track defects until closure.
Verify fixes after implementation.
Retest corrected issues.
Maintain defect history records.
Monitor recurring issues.
Escalate critical defects promptly.
Coordinate with developers and vendors during investigation.
Test Documentation
Prepare and maintain comprehensive testing documentation.
Develop detailed test plans.
Create structured test cases.
Prepare test scenarios.
Maintain testing checklists.
Record execution results.
Document defects accurately.
Update reusable testing assets.
Maintain testing evidence.
Prepare test summary reports.
Ensure documentation complies with project standards.
Support audit requirements where applicable.
Collaboration
Work closely with Business Analysts to clarify business requirements.
Collaborate with Software Developers to resolve application issues.
Coordinate testing schedules with Project Managers.
Communicate testing progress regularly.
Support vendors during troubleshooting activities.
Participate in project discussions.
Attend requirement review meetings.
Provide testing feedback during project planning.
Assist stakeholders during production verification.
Support end users during User Acceptance Testing.
Maintain effective communication across cross-functional teams.
Quality Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve testing processes.
Recommend enhancements to testing methodologies.
Contribute ideas for process optimization.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Improve documentation standards.
Develop reusable testing templates.
Assist in establishing testing best practices.
Support automation initiatives when applicable.
Promote software quality across projects.
Contribute to knowledge sharing within the QA team.
Daily Responsibilities
A typical workday may include reviewing project requirements, preparing testing environments, executing manual test cases, validating business workflows, documenting defects, participating in project meetings, discussing issues with developers, verifying bug fixes, updating testing reports, preparing release documentation, and ensuring production readiness before deployment.
You will also prioritize testing activities according to project timelines, communicate testing progress to stakeholders, and ensure all assigned tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
Skills and Competencies
Successful candidates should possess strong analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail.
You should be capable of identifying inconsistencies, investigating issues methodically, and documenting findings clearly.
Strong organizational skills are important for managing multiple testing assignments simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience in software testing, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, application support, or related IT functions will be advantageous.
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defect management processes, Agile methodology, or Waterfall project methodology will be beneficial.
Experience using bug tracking and project management tools is an added advantage.
