Employment Type: Full-Time Part-Time Contract

Salary: Full-Time: Up to $3,000 per month Part-Time / Contract: Up to $15 per hour

Hands-on training provided. Full-Time applicants are preferred. Shift work is required for Full-Time positions. Part-Time applicants can work flexible hours based on their availability and the outlet’s shift schedule.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Ya Kun Kaya Toast is hiring Service Crew members for multiple outlets in Singapore. Successful applicants will join the outlet operations team and may be assigned to cashiering, toast preparation, beverage preparation, cleaning, customer service, packing, food preparation and other daily outlet duties.

This opportunity is suitable for applicants who are interested in working in the F&B industry and are willing to learn. Previous F&B experience is not required, as hands-on training will be provided. Applicants should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, follow outlet procedures and maintain high standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness and hygiene.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

  1. CASHIER

Cashiers are responsible for assisting customers with their orders and handling cashier-related duties during daily outlet operations.

Main duties include:

  • Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take customer orders accurately.
  • Process payments according to outlet procedures.
  • Handle cashier operations carefully and accurately.
  • Assist customers with questions regarding products and orders.
  • Pack food and beverage orders when required.
  • Assist with beverage preparation when required.
  • Check orders before handing them to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier counter.
  • Support other Service Crew members during busy periods.
  • Follow instructions from Supervisors.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
  1. TOASTER

Toasters are responsible for preparing toast and food items according to the required procedures and maintaining consistent product quality.

Main duties include:

  • Prepare toast according to outlet procedures.
  • Prepare and arrange required food ingredients.
  • Assist with egg preparation and other simple food preparation tasks.
  • Ensure ingredients are handled properly.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Maintain consistency in food preparation.
  • Keep the preparation area clean and organized.
  • Clean the workstation regularly throughout the shift.
  • Assist other crew members during peak periods.
  • Follow instructions from Supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  1. BREWER

Brewers are responsible for beverage preparation and supporting other outlet operations when required.

Main duties include:

  • Prepare beverages according to company procedures.
  • Ensure drinks are prepared consistently.
  • Assist with beverage preparation during busy periods.
  • Support cashier staff when required.
  • Assist with packing customer orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness around the beverage preparation area.
  • Ensure equipment and work areas are kept clean.
  • Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Work closely with other Service Crew members.
  • Follow instructions from Supervisors.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  1. GENERAL CLEANER

General Cleaners are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the assigned outlet.

Main duties include:

  • Maintain general cleanliness of the outlet.
  • Clean tables and customer areas.
  • Clean counters and assigned work areas.
  • Sweep and maintain floors where required.
  • Dispose of rubbish properly.
  • Keep work areas neat and organized.
  • Clean as you go during daily operations.
  • Assist the team in maintaining proper hygiene standards.
  • Follow NEA safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Support the outlet team when required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Supervisors.

This outlet is located in the Orchard area and is conveniently accessible by public transport.

Sengkang Grand Mall

WORKING HOURS

FULL-TIME

Full-Time employees will work rotating AM and PM shifts based on the outlet schedule.

Shift schedules are subject to operational requirements and may vary depending on the assigned outlet and position.

Applicants applying for Full-Time positions should be prepared to work different shifts and support the outlet during busy operating periods.

PART-TIME

Part-Time employees will have flexible working hours based on their available hours and the outlet’s shift schedule.

Applicants should provide their availability when applying so that suitable shifts can be discussed.

CONTRACT

Contract positions are also available for eligible applicants, subject to the available position and applicable employment terms.

DAILY WORK ENVIRONMENT

Service Crew members will work directly in an F&B outlet and will be involved in day-to-day operations.

The work may include standing for extended periods, preparing food and beverages, assisting customers, handling orders, cleaning work areas, packing products and supporting colleagues during busy periods.

Applicants should be physically fit and comfortable working in an active environment.

During peak periods, employees may need to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy, cleanliness and good customer service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

FOOD PREPARATION

Employees may be required to prepare toast, ingredients, eggs and simple food items according to established procedures.

Food preparation must be carried out carefully and consistently. Employees are expected to follow proper food handling practices and maintain a clean preparation area throughout the shift.

BEVERAGE PREPARATION

Employees assigned to beverage-related duties will prepare simple beverages according to the required procedures.

They may also assist with packing drinks, checking orders and supporting other crew members during busy periods.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Employees are expected to provide good customer service at all times.

This includes welcoming customers, assisting with orders, answering basic product-related questions, ensuring orders are prepared correctly and maintaining a polite and professional attitude.

CASHIER OPERATIONS

Cashier staff will be responsible for processing customer orders and payments accurately.

They may also assist with order packing, beverage preparation and other outlet duties when required.

CLEANING AND HYGIENE

All Service Crew members are expected to contribute to outlet cleanliness.

Employees should clean as they go, maintain their assigned workstation and ensure that food preparation, customer service and working areas remain clean and organized.

Employees must comply with applicable NEA safety and hygiene requirements and follow company food safety procedures.

TEAMWORK

Service Crew members will work as part of a team.

Employees should communicate effectively with colleagues, assist one another during busy periods and follow instructions from Supervisors.

The ability to cooperate with the team is an important part of the role.

OTHER DUTIES

Employees may be required to perform other reasonable duties assigned by Supervisors according to outlet requirements.

  • Previous F&B experience is not required.

EXPERIENCE

No previous F&B experience is required.

Applicants without prior experience may apply as long as they are willing to learn, follow training and perform the required duties responsibly.

Training will help new employees understand their assigned responsibilities, outlet procedures, customer service expectations, food preparation requirements, hygiene standards and daily operations.

TRAINING

Hands-on training is provided.

New employees will receive practical guidance on their assigned duties and learn how to carry out tasks according to the required outlet standards.

Training may cover cashier operations, food preparation, toast preparation, beverage preparation, order packing, cleaning procedures, customer service and other relevant outlet duties depending on the position.

START DATE

Training can start immediately for suitable applicants, subject to hiring and onboarding arrangements.

Applicants who are available to start work at short notice will have an advantage.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

PART-TIME / CONTRACT

Up to $15 per hour.

Terms and conditions apply depending on the position and applicable employment arrangements.

FULL-TIME

Up to $3,000 per month, including applicable overtime and incentives.

The actual salary will depend on the position, working arrangements, overtime, incentives and applicable terms and conditions.
