Position: Retail Assistant / Cashier
Location: Multiple Supermarket Outlets Across Singapore (Islandwide)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Contract Duration: 2 Months (Renewable/Extendable Based on Performance)
Salary: SGD 12.50–25.00 per Hour

A leading supermarket chain in Singapore is currently looking for motivated and responsible individuals to join our retail operations team. Multiple vacancies are available across various locations throughout Singapore for the August and September intake.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates who are looking to gain experience in the retail industry or those seeking immediate employment. No interview is required, and successful applicants can begin work as soon as possible.

Salary

• Weekdays: SGD 12.50 per hour
• Weekends: SGD 12.50 per hour
• Public Holidays: Up to SGD 25.00 per hour

Contract extensions may be offered to employees who demonstrate excellent attendance, good work performance, and a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities

As a Retail Assistant / Cashier, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the supermarket. Your responsibilities include:

• Operating the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and processing customer transactions accurately.
• Providing friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
• Assisting customers with enquiries and directing them to the correct products.
• Replenishing merchandise on shelves and ensuring products are properly displayed.
• Monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors when replenishment is required.
• Checking expiry dates and removing damaged or expired products according to company procedures.
• Assisting with receiving deliveries, unloading goods, and organizing inventory in the stockroom.
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of shelves, aisles, checkout counters, and storage areas.
• Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines at all times.
• Supporting promotional displays, seasonal merchandising, and price tag updates.
• Carrying out other operational duties assigned by supervisors or store managers.

Job Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualities:

• No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided.
• Previous experience in retail, supermarkets, customer service, or cashiering will be an advantage but is not compulsory.
• Physically fit and able to lift items weighing up to 10 kilograms.
• Comfortable using ladders when replenishing higher shelves.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods during working hours.
• Responsible, hardworking, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Available to start work immediately.
• Able to commit to a 2-month contract with the possibility of extension.
• Willing to work six days per week, including weekends and public holidays.
• Comfortable working rotating shifts based on operational requirements.

Working Hours

Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Shift assignments will be determined by the Store Manager according to operational needs. Applicants must be flexible to work either shift.
