We are currently recruiting Temporary Airport Retail Cashiers to support retail operations at Changi Airport. This position is hired under Recruit Express Services, and successful candidates will be deployed to retail outlets located within Terminal 1 and Jewel Changi Airport.

Working Schedule

Employees will work according to a roster planned by the operations team.

  • Five working days each week
  • Two rostered off days
  • Weekends and Public Holidays are part of the normal work schedule
  • 8.5 working hours per shift (excluding meal break)
  • Additional working hours may be required during busy operational periods

Main Shift Timings

Shift A
2:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Shift B
3:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Please note that shift timings may change depending on airport operational requirements.

For employees whose shifts end after public transport services have stopped operating, transportation will be arranged through a company cab pooling service.

Job Responsibilities

As a Temporary Airport Retail Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring customers receive an excellent shopping experience while maintaining efficient retail operations.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout each customer interaction.
  • Assist local and international travellers with their shopping enquiries.
  • Recommend suitable products according to customers’ needs.
  • Explain product features, promotions and ongoing campaigns.
  • Handle cashiering duties accurately.
  • Process cash, NETS, credit card and other electronic payment transactions.
  • Ensure all transactions are completed accurately.
  • Issue receipts and assist customers with payment enquiries.
  • Maintain accuracy during cash handling procedures.
  • Perform daily opening and closing cashier procedures.
  • Assist customers with purchases and product selection.
  • Replenish merchandise on display shelves.
  • Ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively.
  • Monitor stock availability throughout the day.
  • Report low stock levels to supervisors.
  • Assist in stock receiving whenever required.
  • Organise merchandise according to company merchandising standards.
  • Perform stock rotation where necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the retail outlet.
  • Ensure shelves and display areas remain presentable at all times.
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock counting.
  • Follow all company retail procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Comply with airport security regulations.
  • Observe workplace safety requirements.
  • Support daily retail operations during peak travel periods.
  • Handle customer feedback professionally.
  • Resolve simple customer enquiries whenever possible.
  • Escalate complex issues to supervisors when necessary.
  • Work closely with fellow retail associates.
  • Support supervisors with operational duties.
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks accurately.
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned by management.
