ABOUT THE POSITION

The Unarmed Auxiliary Police Officer will be responsible for carrying out security, enforcement, patrol and incident response duties at assigned locations.

The role requires individuals who are alert, disciplined, responsible and able to remain calm and professional when dealing with members of the public or responding to security-related situations.

Officers may be deployed to different locations throughout Singapore depending on operational requirements. Candidates must therefore be prepared to work rotating shifts and be available to work weekends and Public Holidays when scheduled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

1. Conduct regular security patrols at assigned premises and designated areas.
2. Monitor assigned locations and maintain a safe and secure environment.
3. Attend to security enquiries from members of the public, visitors, staff and other relevant parties.
4. Perform crowd control duties during events, busy periods or situations where crowd management is required.
5. Assist with traffic control and traffic management according to operational procedures.
6. Carry out assigned law enforcement duties in accordance with relevant procedures and instructions.
7. Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies and other operational situations.
8. Assist in maintaining order and security during incidents.
9. Report suspicious activities, safety concerns, security breaches and other irregularities to the relevant supervisor or authority.
10. Prepare accurate and timely incident, occurrence and security reports.
11. Follow established operational procedures, safety requirements and workplace regulations.
12. Work closely with supervisors, team members and other operational personnel.
13. Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with members of the public.
14. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management according to operational requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should meet the following minimum educational and personal requirements:

• Minimum 3 GCE N/O Level passes; or
• NITEC qualification; or
• WPLN SOA Level 5 and above for all 5 modules.
