Position: Warehouse Assistant / Shop Assistant

U STARS Supermarket is currently looking for suitable candidates to join the team as Warehouse Assistant / Shop Assistant. This position is suitable for candidates who are interested in supermarket, retail, stock handling and warehouse-related work in Singapore.

SALARY AND WORKING DETAILS

Salary: SGD $2,500 – $3,000 per month
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Overtime: 2.0x

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the supermarket and warehouse. Duties may include:

• Loading and unloading incoming goods and stock
• Receiving and moving goods within the warehouse or store
• Arranging products and ensuring stocks are properly organized
• Replenishing products on shelves when stock levels are low
• Picking and packing goods according to orders
• Checking stock quantities and arranging inventory
• Ensuring products are stored in the correct locations
• Assisting with stock movement between the warehouse and shop
• Checking products and maintaining proper stock arrangement
• Assisting customers when required
• Providing basic assistance and information to customers
• Handling cashier duties when required
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness around the shop and working area
• Supporting other supermarket and warehouse operations
• Following instructions from supervisors and completing assigned tasks
• Performing other general duties related to daily store operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should be responsible, hardworking and willing to learn. The position may involve standing, walking, lifting and moving goods, so candidates should be comfortable performing physical duties.

Applicants should also be able to:

• Work responsibly and follow company procedures
• Work well with supervisors and other team members
• Handle daily tasks in a fast-paced supermarket environment
• Maintain good workplace discipline
• Keep the workplace clean and organized
• Follow instructions accurately
• Assist with different duties when required
• Work efficiently to complete assigned tasks

Previous experience in supermarket, retail, warehouse, stock handling or packing work may be an advantage, depending on the company’s requirements.

JOB BENEFITS AND OPPORTUNITIES

This position offers a monthly salary of SGD $2,500 to $3,000, with overtime paid at 2.0x. Candidates who are willing to take on additional working hours may have opportunities to increase their overall monthly earnings through overtime.

Working in a supermarket environment also provides practical experience in retail operations, inventory management, customer service, stock handling and warehouse activities.
